2. Project summary

The present project targets the complexity of the phenomena of itinerant criminality, human trafficking and money laundering, while taking full advantage of state-of-the-art systems available to the law enforcement, such as the AFIS system. It aims to increase the operational support for police activities in partnership with the Norwegian Police, as well as the operational capacities of specialized structures to combat itinerant criminality, trafficking in human beings and economic crimes thus improving the effectiveness of the police system and its performance.

The main objective of the project is to strengthen the police cooperation between Norway and Romania, while consolidating national capacities in fighting itinerant crime, human trafficking, money laundering and the identification of individuals.
